The Pink Elephant 201

Hello everyone!  When I first saw the weekly challenge at The Pink Elephant, I was like, "Oh, stars and stripes, why the heck would I need an American card for??"  And then as I scrolled through the samples I immediately felt silly, for it is a pretty broad category!  Anyway, I had this amazing handcrafted star button that I purchased in Chemainus, BC, and knew it would be perfect for this card.  The brown card stock is from Michael's, the green paper is from a friend, the stamps, ink, pearls and punches are from Stampin' Up, and the twine is from some gift wrap that enclosed a gift from my boss for this past Administrative Assistant's Day.  I'm going to give it to my parent's friends who let me stay at their house when I was getting my laser eye surgery last week.  Hope you have a great weekend! <3 JEM

Merry Monday #63 and Mojo Monday 294

Hello!  I hope you are all having a splendid evening!  I am!  I just spent my evening making cards, and it was wonderful.  This first card is for Merry Monday #63.  I really like this idea of making Christmas cards all through the year, so that in December you aren't running around in a flap trying to make 6000 cards.  There are so many more enjoyable things to do in December!  Anyway, on to the card.  The white background card stock is from a friend, the plaid paper and Merry Christmas paper are from some ornaments I made last year, the paper Dasher is on is from the missionary cards I made, the buttons were originally for a blouse that I never did make, the embossing powder from a friend, and everything else is Stampin' Up.  It's a bit hard to see in this picture, but I actually used some glitter spray over Dasher for some sparkle.

This card is for Mojo Monday 294.  My husband has a mentor at work, and his father recently died.  So this card is for him.  All paper used in this card is from Michael's, except for the white, which is still from those missionary cards.  The stamp, ink, pearls, punches, and paper piercing are all Stampin' Up, and the ribbon is from the pouch that my Tiffany wedding band came in (oooh!).  Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!  <3 JEM

Seize the Birthday #17

Hey!  This is a card I'm submitting for Seize the Birthday #17 (it says Happy Birthday on the inside, I promise!).  The blue card stock, ribbon, brads, pearls, and blue patterned paper are from Stampin' Up, the dark blue from and information book from school, the flowers from a friend, and the paper doily from my mom.  Hope you like! <3 JEM

The Pink Elephant Challenge - TPE199

Hey all!  This is my submission for The Pink Elephant Challenge 199.  I got the idea from Pinterest and gave it a little twist of my own.  The coral and blue card stock is from Stampin' Up, and the white is left over from the missionary cards I made.  Pretty much everything else is Stampin' Up.  I was trying to fill the pop cap lid with the crystal effects stuff, but it made the stamp underneath totally illegible.  Gonna have to see if there is a better way to do it!  Hope you enjoy!  <3 JEM

Mojo Monday 293

Heyo!  This is my submission for Mojo Monday 293.  It will make a great birthday card for hubby's young cousin!  The blue card stock, blue patterned paper, ink, and giraffe stamp are Stampin' Up, the yellow card stock and yellow polka dot paper are from a friend, the white is left over from the missionary cards I made, the ribbon is from a gift I received from a girl back at Capernwray, and the happy birthday stamps I found at Michael's.  Enjoy! <3 JEM

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge {Merriest Holiday Season}

Good morning!  Yes, I know this is a Christmas card, and it is still May, but it is for a card challenge at Always Playing With Paper!  The white card stock is from a friend, and all the other card stock is left over from making Christmas ornaments at my church.  The punches and stamp are from Stampin' Up and the red glitter is from a friend.  Gotta get ready for church now!! <3 JEM

Spring Stamp Creations

Hey all!  Just thought I would share some of the cards we've made over the past few months at Stamp Club.  I sent this first one to my aunt and uncle in Winnipeg whose birthdays are a few days apart.

On this card we made our own designer paper using sponge daubers and stamps.  I gave this to our neighbour that we were helping out after a foot surgery.

This card uses shaving cream to create that awesome looking background!  I gave this one to my choir director at the end of the season.

This is one of the cards we made last night.  I had a great time!  I brought my Oma to Stamp Club and she made her very first cards.  She was so excited and had such a blast!

This is the second card we made yesterday.  I LOVE the colours we used!  Hope you have a great evening! <3 JEM

Mother's Day 2013

Hello!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating Mother's Day!  For me it was a special treat this year - my Oma was visiting so we got to spend time with her, too.  I got lazy and made 3 variations of the same card for the ladies.  I found a similar card on Pinterest where they had used the Stampin' Up ornament framelits to make vases.  I thought that would be perfect for Mother's Day!  The white card stock is leftovers from the missionary cards I made, the dark blue vase was from my Capernwray guide book, the gray and purple from Michael's, and everything else is Stampin' Up.  <3 JEM

Foxy Lady

Hey everyone!  Hope you're having an awesome weekend!  I'm really enjoying the wonderful weather we are having.  This card was made for my sister's birthday.  She is a foxy lady!  The white card stock is leftover from the missionary cards I made, and the pink is from a friend.  The stamp, ink and pearls are Stampin' Up.  This is truly a JEM creation however - check out the black card stock....
...it's actually an old grad photo frame!  I just slid some white card stock inside with a message.  The stamp, pearls, ink, and framelits are Stampin' Up, and the pink card stock is from Michael's.  Hope you like!

Oh my goodness, and I just had to include this!  Isn't this AWESOME!?!?  <3 JEM
