Mojo Monday 299

Hello!  Hope you're having a wonderful evening - we just had a couple friends over with their 3 little boys and it was a great time - and the noise was definitely great retaliation towards our loud upstairs neighbours hehe!  My husband actually helped me make this card...  I knew I wanted to use all my wisteria colored stuff, but I wasn't sure of the contrasting piece.  So I gave him a bunch of options and this is the one he picked - I think it looks great :)  The flowers and flower brads on here are from a friend, the Happy Birthday stamps I found somewhere, the patterned paper is from Michael's, and everything else is Stampin' Up.  Oh yeah, and this is for the challenge at Mojo Monday - #299!!  Enjoy!  <3 JEM

Belated Seize the Birthday #19

So, I made a mistake!  I was looking for card inspiration and thought I would try the challenge at Seize the Birthday #19.  Except, when I was halfway through the card I realized that the challenge had already closed.  Oopsie!  So here is my card anyway.  It is a trifold birthday card.  The brown paper is from our wedding photo display, and the yellow and pink from a friend.  The punches and stamps are from Stampin' Up.

2nd fold.

And the inside!  Hope you like! I'm going to try and find a sketch that IS open now :)  <3 JEM

The Pink Elephant 205 - Love & Laughter

Hey hey!  This is my submission for The Pink Elephant 205.  This week it was a sketch challenge, and I thought it was a great one :)  All the paper you see here is from Michael's, the button and ink are from Stampin' Up, and the twine is from a gift I received.  I think I got the stamp at Scrapbooker's Paradise.  Hope you like!  <3 JEM

Stampin Up Card Club Creations

Hey!  Just wanted to share the latest cards we made at Stamp Club this month.  This first card uses a technique that I can't wait to start exploring with different shapes.  You punch out a translucent window sheet, lay it on your card, and ink up with your dauber!  Such a cool idea.  You can do this with anything - butterfly punches, squares, etc.  The circle punch works with a bunch of stuff like bubbles, balloons.. you name it!

On this second card we used stamp wheels (I can't remember the right name at the moment!) for the blue plaid on the bottom.  I was really glad to try this out, because I'm thinking of purchasing some wheels pretty soon!

And this last creation we made at our pickup night.  It unfolds to hold a sticky notepad!  You could use this for so many occasions like Christmas, Halloween, thank you gifts, etc.  LOVE it!  <3 JEM

Father's Day 2013 - Part 2

This card is for my hubby's Dad.  The brown paper is from Michael's, the light orange brown and white from a friend, and the blue patterned is from Stampin' Up.  The brads are from my Mom, and the embossing folder, edger punch, stamps, ink, and framelit are from Stampin' Up.  Hope you have a great weekend celebrating your fathers!  <3 JEM

Father's Day 2013

Happy Saturday afternoon, everyone!  I'm posting these two Father's Day cards for challenges Mojo Monday 297 and The Pink Elephant 203.  This first card is for my Dad.  The cream paper is from Michael's, the green from an old daytimer, the striped green from a friend, and the brown from our wedding photo display.  The 'for you' stamp I got at Scrapbooker's Paradise, and the other stamps, ink, bottle cap, edgelit and framelit are from Stampin' Up.  He really liked his card. :)  I guess I have to make two posts for two cards so be sure to check out the one I made for hubby's Dad. <3 JEM

Merry Monday #66

Okay, I swear I'm not a copycat!  I looked at the sketch for Merry Monday #66, quickly scrolled down to see how many people had entered, noticed none of them had used ornaments so far, and was like, "Ah ha!  I will be the first!"  And then mid card I noticed that one of the cards from the design team not only used ornaments, but used the same sentiment stamp as me.  Oops.  So yeah, great minds think alike?  Also, I apologize for the crappy color quality of this photo.  It is actually one solid beautiful red, no washout anywhere!  So yeah, the card.  The red paper and blue ribbon is from a friend, the white paper from the missionary cards I made, and the stamps, ink, framelits, embossing folder, pearl, and embossing powder are from Stampin' Up.  I used a sponge dauber on the embossed paper for a more vintage feel.  Hope you like! <3 JEM

Mojo Monday #296

Hey everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful Sunday!  This is a birthday card for Mojo Monday #296.  It's for my uncle's upcoming 60th birthday!  I had fun trying out my new paper piercing sheets for this.  All the paper in this card is from a friend, with the exception of the white which is left over from the missionary cards I made.  The brads, punches, stamps, and pinwheel sizzlet are from Stampin' Up.  Hope you like! <3 JEM

Merry Monday #60

Good morning!  This is a card for Merry Monday #60.  The white card stock is from a friend, the patterned and glitter paper from the Christmas ornaments I made last year, the sheer ribbon from a gift, the other ribbon from my Mom, and the stamp and punch are from Stampin' Up.  Hope you enjoy! <3 JEM

Seize the Birthday #18 - 2

This is my second card for Seize the Birthday #18.  I'm not sure if you are allowed to post more than one card per challenge, so I'm going to try it and see if it gets removed.  If it does, oh well, I really needed two birthday cards!  This one was for my cousin.  The white card stock is from the Missionary cards I made, the green is from an old daytimer, the pink "stuff" is from a friend, the embossing folder, brad, stamps, ink, and punches are from Stampin' Up, and the Happy Birthday stamps I got at a craft store!  <3 JEM

Seize the Birthday #18

Hello!  This birthday card is for Seize the Birthday #18.  I made it for my hubby's aunt, who is a loud and vibrant woman - so to me that screamed leopard print, hehe!  I got the leopard print paper from the bag a recent purchase came in.  All the other paper is from Michael's, and the stamps, punches, embossing folder, and pearls are from Stampin' Up.  <3 JEM

Merry Monday #64

Good evening!  Today has been such an exciting day - I managed to purchased our 4-day passes for the Edmonton Folk Fest this year in the 20 minutes before they sold out!  I am stoked!!  Now, for the card.  This is for Merry Monday #64.  The blue card stock is from Stampin' Up, the grey from Michael's, and the flecked white is from the ornaments I made last year.  All ink and stamps are Stampin' Up, and the glitter is from my friend.  Sweet dreams, everyone!  < 3 JEM
