My First Stamp Camp!

This morning I held my very first stamp camp!  I was excited but a bit nervous beforehand, but it went very well.  I had four lovely ladies attend, we made 5 cards, drank tea and had some snacks.  A great way to spend a Saturday morning, if you ask me :)

This card made good use of the ombre effect.  The stamps are from the Sweet Stack stamp set from Stampin' Up!.  The colors used were Real Red, Strawberry Slush, Calypso Coral, and Crisp Cantaloupe.  I believe this was CASEd (Create And Share Everything) from the Stampin' Up! website.
This card is simple and pretty with earthy fall colors.  It uses the For All Things stamp set, some washi tape, a gold button, and some linen thread.  The trick with the background stamp is to stamp off before stamping on your card for a faded look.  We lined up the sentiment with the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  The colors used were Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, and Hello Honey.  CASEd from Debbie Lever.
This thank you card makes use of the stamp set Another Thank You.  The other colors are Bermuda Bay and Summer Starfruit.  I used the retired labels framelits and some retired designer series paper as well.  We raised the label framelits with dimensionals to make it pop.  CASEd from Beth.
Another beautiful warm birthday card.  Hello Honey ribbon is so yummy!  I used the retired stamp set Birthday Whimsy and the retired Moonlight Series designer paper.  The larger flowers are stamped with Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, and Sahara Sand, and then punched out with a punch whose name is escaping me at the moment.  The little flowers are from the itty bitty punch pack, I believe, and then we added pearls to pretty it up.  Adding a bit of 'lace' is one of the Finishing Touches edgelits.  CASEd from ZoKris.
And finally, a funny birthday card for those with a good sense of humor.  Colors used are Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, and Summer Starfruit.  The card base is Calypso Coral and Island Indigo card stock, as well.  The ladies were a bit unsure about my funky inherited heat gun, so I helped them out with the embossing of the sentiment, which is taken from the set, That Thing You Did.  We punched out a star with the itty bitty punch pack (I think - don't quote me), and added some sequins.  One thing I would recommend when using the sponge daubers for this is to extend the yellow over the star so that the blue punched out star really shows up.  CASEd from Kindra Delaney - shared at Stampin' Pretty.

Hope you liked all the cards!  If you are interested in an upcoming camp, please let me know - they are so fun and easy as I walk you through all the steps.  Have a great weekend! <3 JEM
