Baby Card Party!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some cards I made with a bunch of doulas a few weeks ago - most of whom had never made cards - and we had so much fun and they turned out so well that they want to do it again!  I enjoyed this class so much I've decided to offer it again to all my stamping friends - on Saturday March 5th @ 10am, as well as Thursday March 31st @ 7pm.  Let me know if you'd like to come!

This first card uses the little bunny from the new Stampin' Up set Made With Love.  It's photopolymer, so it's great for placing it exactly where you want it, and is so easy to color.
This next card makes use of a few different stamp sets that work together so well.  A little bit of fussy cutting involved with the whale, but worth it!
For this next card, I picked some striped designer series paper (DSP), and then stamped the onesie on it for a super easy striped look.  Again, loving the photopolymer stamps so you can line things up just the way you want them!
This card was my second dive into watercoloring, and I must say that I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!  All the coloring done on this card was using my Stampin' Up Aqua Painters - which make it sooo easy.  The addition of the little pearls just makes me feel bubbly :)
This last card was so fun to make!  I used the Owl Punch from Stampin' Up for the little dresses and hearts, and then used ribbon to make the ruffles.  The perfect little girly card!  I've also seen ideas on Pinterest using the Owl Punch to make little overalls for a boy themed card.  Super cute!

Anyway, I hope you like these cards - and please let me know if you'd like to join me and make some!  Talk to you soon! <3 JEM

Cards.. and Chocolate!!

Hey everyone!  Sorry about posting my announcement so late today - my baby woke up in the night missing his soother so I was pretty tired today and took a nap when he did.  I have two concerts this weekend so I needed to be well rested.  So here is the big announcement!!  As of today, you can purchase my mini cards at Bernard Callebaut Chocolate at the Village Mall in Red Deer!  I'm super excited about this new partnership and the opportunities it brings.  So if you're buying chocolate for those special people in your life, please consider supporting me as well!  Below are the cards I dropped off today - a nice variety for everyone.

This first card is probably one of my favorites.  Back in the fall I held a few stamp camps where we made cards with butterflies, and the image that you see here is actually the wax paper cutout that was left over!
There are so many beautiful ideas for inspiration on Pinterest - I loved using my Stampin' Write markers to color in the image on this gorgeous stamp.
A nice layered card with some silver cord that was from the Holiday Catalogue this year.
I love how the little heart punch is exactly the right size for the hearts embossing folder!
This card made use of an arrow cutout from the On Film framelits dies..
..that I actually used in this card as well!  Love the vintage buttons with twine here.
A sweet and simple card using some non traditional Valentines colors.
Love the ombre effect on this card, as well as the embossing flamingos.
Another non traditional colored card - but I just love the rich tones and the detailed coloring on this stamp.
And last of all, a more basic card to round out the bunch.

So again, be sure to look for these cards when you're at Bernard Callebaut in Red Deer :)  <3 JEM

Baby Card

Good afternoon, everyone!  Just sharing a card I quickly put together last weekend for a baby shower I attended.  This features one of the new stamp sets from the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, Made With Love.  This stamp set is so versatile, and wonderfully, has a matching set of thinlits to save you all the cutting out by hand stuff.  I used some retired Blendabilities to color the onesie, but maybe next time I'll work up the courage to try my Aqua Painters on it!  Hope you enjoy - oh, and stay tuned for a big announcement coming on Friday - I'm super excited to share some great news with you! <3 JEM
